1 августа жители Кипра получат возможность понаблюдать за частичным солнечным затмением. С 13.30 до 14.00 диск Луны закроет около 3% Солнца. Врачи советуют использовать для наблюдения за редким астрономическим явлением специальные очки, чтобы не испортить зрение. Если вы хотите увидеть полное солнечное затмение, отправляйтесь в Сибирь.

Самым крупным городом в мире, который попадет 1 августа в полосу полного затмения, станет Новосибирск. Продолжительность полной фазы затмения составит 2 минуты 20 секунд. Полоса полного солнечного затмения пересечет Западную Сибирь с севера на юг и далее пойдет по труднодоступным районам Китая и Монголии.
